Who were the best-dressed celebrities at this year’s BAFTAs?

The 2019 BAFTA TV awards showcased acting talent from the small screen, with the red carpet enabling many of our favourite stars to show off their fashion prowess.

Here are some of the best celebrity dresses we spotted. Which are your favourites?

Bright colours

Jodie Comer’s one-shoulder dress was simple and elegant but packed a punch in a purplish magenta shade.

Tess Daly stood out all in red, with a scarlet trouser suit by Suzanne Neville teamed with a bag and shoes in a matching shade. Glamorous trouser suits such as Tess’s were a popular choice.

A bright red dress and a one-shoulder navy bodycon style are a few of the standouts from accessible ranges such as the AX Paris celebrity dresses range. These could help you to emulate Jodie or Tess’s style without the designer price tag.

Spotted

We went dotty for Scarlett Moffatt’s polka-dot gown that featured a black and white off-the-shoulder top and a ruffled skirt with thigh-skimming split. Scarlett was fittingly a fashion commentator for the evening.

Emily Atack had received the same memo about spots, wearing a vibrant red and black polka-dot dress by Natalie & Alanna.

Super splits

Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Killing Eve and Fleabag fame worked a duck-egg blue dress with split sleeves and a sleek high neck. She paired it with elegant simple jewellery.

Rochelle Humes showed off her lovely legs and a hint of cleavage in a black sheer dress with a thigh-high split and a plunging neckline covered with a frilly black necklace detail.

Silver screen

Keeley Hawes looked absolutely ravishing in her Suzanne Neville silver ball gown complete with a bateau neckline.

In a similar vein, singer Camilla Kerslake went all silver screen in a gunmetal grey gown with a flowing skirt.

Black is always back

Fantastic black was seen on many of the most stylish BAFTA attendees, with Claudia Winkleman opting for a black wrap dress, Suranne Jones choosing black on top with a white floor-length skirt, and Ruth Wilson belting a black long-sleeved floor-length gown.

New navy

Holly Willoughby and Georgia May Foote showed how navy works for blondes and brunettes in navy dresses that added a touch of dark sky drama.
